I'd appreciate help in getting my HDHR dual tuners to function with GBPVR. They work fine with WIN7 MCE and I had no trouble getting a HVR950 to scan for channels but nothing I've tried gets them to scan sucessfully with GBPVR. I had no trouble with the EPG but I'm completely blocked in attempting to use GBVPR because of the inability to achieve scanning success.

I'm using Cox cable as a feed. All I'm trying to do is to get the open qam channels from 114-117. Everything else is covered by the HVR950.

I think I've attached the logs to this posting but I'm not totally sure.

Any help will be appreciated.

Two things:

First, you have your HDHomeRun set up as a DVB-C device in your bda.ini and it should be an ATSC device.

Second, open config.xml in notepad and change <BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds> to "30" and<BDAPsiScanStartupSeconds> to "5".

I did as you suggested but still got no results from scanning. I've never gotten any indication GBPVR is finding any qam channels and I don't get that "custom range" window to imput the frequencies.

It looks like its locking onto the signal, but the device is delivering no data. The usual cause of this for HDHR devices is the firewall blocking access to the application.

I manually entered the required GBPVR exceptions and I've entered everything HDHR has and I'm still not getting anything. The tuners are working on WIN7 MCE.

Did you add exceptions for config.exe?

It works in Win7 MCE because the HDHR installer automatically adds all the firewalls rules it needs for this application. It doesnt do the same for GBPVR.

Yes, and still no luck with finding anything with the "Capture Sources" scan. Interestingly enough (or perhaps not) the HDHomerun Scan Tool finds all those channels but they never show up when I do Digital Channel Mapping and I don't see anything happening when I tell the HDHomerun Scan Tool to "Map Channels To Guide."

Thanks for trying. From what I've been reading, NPVR might help with scheduled recordings but doesn't have the other things GBPVR does, so it wouldn't work as a htpc front end. If I'm wrong about that, let me know.

What do you mean? It does pretty much everything GBPVR does, and has the same type of user interface etc.
