Yeah I've read before that your not interested in developing a purely PC client interface and that there are various work arounds available for this.
My suggestion envisaged a situation where u have satellite or cable TV (technologies that will become more important with the advent of HDTV) entering a residence in multiple locations (because you wish to watch this in multiple locations) and you then wish to join these up to create the full PVR experience. Short of rewiring your house this is not possible with GBPVR.
Development of a system that would allow use of TV capture cards contained in multiple PCs would be a far more flexible solution; MVP use simply enhances this offering by allowing TVs in all locations to have access to several channels. Similarly, hardware requirements are reduced by spreading recording load over multiple platforms.
Whilst GBPVR is a fantastic program I'm just concerned that it won't be future proof without this kind of capability, the idea of the digital media hub is central to the concept of the digital home; being the most practical and functional model available.
Just wanted to suggest this to keep GBPVR on the bleeding edge of Windows PVR software.
