I just installed my FusionHDTV5 Lite and put on the newest drivers and software from their website Version 3.30.01. Everything works great with their software

Then I installed GBPVR v0.96.8

In the configuration, I changed nothing but the Capture sources.

Recording source is BDA Recording plugin with HDTV5 Lite as device type and device number is 1

I use Zap2it and i got a working account on it. I say update EPG and it populates my channels and everything seems to be working fine

but then i run GBPVR and i get this error when i try to watch TV or record

"No channels have been set up. Please run the Configureation utility and setup the EPG source. Use the "Update EPG" button to force the system to import the lastest set of channel and programme information."

i rerun the config and click on "enable" on all the channels. no dice

the mux checker states i have no muxer installed. i figure i need to fix this at some point but this should not keep me from just watching live tv right?

what am i doing wrong?

thanks in advance for the help.

You need to enter the tuning information for the channels you have available. See http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

Thanks!

that worked and got GBPVR kinda working.

now i see the tv guide and things seem to work ok.

but when i try to watch Live TV, it states it encountered an error and needs to stop and then reboots my system after i click dont send or send the error report.

i tried changing to overlay manager. and i get sound for about 4 seconds before GBPVR stops responding. then when i goto task manager and kill the process, the system reboots

any ideas?

thanks

This is either a) an IRQ conflict, or b) your power suplly isn't strong enough for your PC. The latter is much less likely but then again, I don't know what your system specs are.

And just a heads up, if you intend to use the F5 in GBPVR then you'll want to setup your Playback options to use VMR9, the Zulu Decoder, and the Cyberlink Audio decoder. Nothing else can compare (performance wise).

but the dvico software works GREAT with it..

my PS is fairly weak.. its just the PS that came with my presario

but i only have one HD and this tuner card and a radeon 9700 pro in my system so that's not much of a load.

so even if the dvico software works fine with it, it could still be irq or ps?

Yep. The symptoms you are describing are well documented (moreso on the HTPC forums over at avsforum.com). Check your IRQ first since that is the easiest thing to do. (At the run command type compmgmt.msc, highlight Device Manager, select Resources by Connection from the View menu, and expand the IRQ list.)
