I'm having trouble add a Hauppauge 1250 as a capture source for QAM channels. I go into the congif:

-add capture source
-recording source "digital recording plugin"
-settings: select "only show devices on this machine" and select "Hauppauge HVR-1250 MCE (QAM)"
-no epg (will adjust once I can add the source)

when I exit out of the config is acts like it is crashing with no responce for 15-20 seconds then eventually exits and disappears. the 1250 is working correctly in WinTV. I attached my logs thanks for your help.

It doesnt really explain the the behaviour you're seeing, but there is no point in adding a digital capture source with no EPG. You wont be able to use that device until the channels are there and mapped.

I understand your point, but was trying to reduce setup variables without the EPG. When I configure the EPG with my schedules direct info it gives me the following error: "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Plase check EPG setting..."

I know the EPG setting is correct because the schedules direct EPG is working OK on my analog card. Any suggestions? I attached the only log that changed after the EPG crash. Thanks.

I've tried re-installing hardware, updating the driver, and removing all plugins from GBPVR. Still no luck adding the capture source. Can anyone offer any advice? Thank you.

Can you reproduce the error and repost the config.exe.log? I want to compare it with the previous log.

Unfortunately those two config.exe.log files show different things. The first log you posted showed the schedules direct update timing out (to which I would have guessed either firewall problems, or schedules direct temporarily down). This last log shows it successfully pulling back listings, but being unable to save to the database due to a locked database - for that I'd probably try temporarily removing plugins (like external recorder) then reboot and try again.

Thanks for your time helping me with this issue. So I think I have it narrowed down to a multiple lineup Schedules Direct issue. When I setup my EPG with username/password the channels for the EPG are shown in the config window after the dload finished as normal. However, if I input username;header(with%3A removed)/password I get no channels after the EPG dload finishes.

I also tried dloading the SD EPG keeping the '%3A' and also saw no channels after EPG finished.

I attached the log after "username;header(with%3A removed)/password" EPG dload with no channels. Thank you.

You're supposed to replace '%3A' with a colon ':'

I’ll try that when I get home. FYI, the wiki says ignore the ‘%3A’ with no mention replacing with a colon.

“In the above example, the HeadEnd ID is actually 0008100- That means you should only note the last word ignoring the ‘%3A’. ( 0008100%3A- becomes 0008100- )”
