I've got a WinTV 350 that locks up when playing back recorded items. Trouble is, it doesn't always do it. I've got the latest drivers from Hauppauge, and for my video cards, and the latest DirectX drivers, and it still does it.

Also can't get my Hauppauge remote to work. Should I be running IR32.exe or not?

Also what other keyboard shortcuts are available apart from CTRL-Q, R and F. I seemed to discover that CTRL-P did something, but was unable to investigate furthur because my machine then locked up. (and couldn't even kill the process in task manager)

Is there also a One-Touch "Record now" button at all? Or something to stop recording something that is in progress?

Is it also possible to run this program at all without having to use EPG? because that means being hooked up to the internet .. what it you don't want to do this? Doesn't seem to be a way.

I'd love to donate some money to you Sub, but there are just too many niggles about this program at the moment, and I've spent half my weekend fiddling away with it and not getting very far!

Have you read this thread http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=918

When you say 'the latest driver', do you have v1.18.21.22254? This has only been available a couple days, and the release notes indicate that they have made some DMA transfer related changes. The PVR350 drivers have been known to be unreliably in some systems, my suspicions are this relates to DMA transfers of OSD data. I'm hopeful these drivers correct the issues for the problem machines, but I dont have enough feedback yet to be confident.

If IR.exe is running, then GB-PVR should be controllable if the Hauppauge file irremote.ini contain settings for GB-PVR. These are created when GB-PVR is installed, but can be lost if Hauppauge software is reinstalled.

If IR.exe is not running, then GB-PVR will only work with the Hauppauge remote if you enable the 'Use Direct access to the Hauppauge Remote' option.

No, there is no one touch recording functionality. GB-PVR was really designed to be used with guide data, and provides scheduling from the TV Guide. You can schedule manual recordings on a specific channel at a specific time.

If you setup your machine to use XMLTV, then you dont need to have an internet connection. In this setup you can manually place an updated XMLTV file on the machine every few days.
