Fonts are squished.

Hi all,

I've set up GBPVR with a PVR-150 & even managed to get the IR Blaster to work with my starchoice reciever. What's annoying me is that I can't seem to get the fonts in GBPVR to display well on my computer.

Everything works & I can read whats there, but it's "squished" for lack of a better word. Almost looks like the text boxes are too small for the text. Some of the buttons try to wrap to another line & that doesn't work well.

I've tried a few different skins, BlueMCE2 works the best for me but it still has these issues. I thought it was because of my resolution (normally 1280x1024) the problem remains no matter how low I go.

I've tried installing this on a few of my lab computers & I get the same result on the monitor. The only thing the equipment has in common are ATI graphic cards, but they're all different makes.

So now I'm stumped. I can't find anything to make the fonts a touch smaller, is there an xml file I need to edit or am I just being blind?

I've not yet tried it on my TV, my MVP is backordered (Hopefully next week).

Any ideas?

Sounds like you've got Windows configured to use large fonts?

That was it. Totally forgot about it.

My wife's visually impared, I can't stay on small fonts all the time. Does the PC display affect the MVP display at all?

Is there a skin I might use that can accomidate large fonts?

You could try to design your own custom skin that specifies smaller font sizes. I cant think of any ready made ones you can download.
