The Fonts in my PVRX2 look terrible - too thick and all blocky. Also I get a lot of vertical bars and garbled display in the general display. Have tried with VRM9 and EVR. GBPVR looks fine.

However this is just my test PC with a onboard Intel video chip - could this be the problem? My real PC will have an NVIDA 5200

Which is best - Vrm9 or EVR?

Can you post a (fullsize) screenshot so we can see what you mean?

What resolution are you running?

Is this fullscreen or windowed mode? Its rendered internally for the fullscreen resolution, and scaling to a smaller window can look average depending on how your video card does its scaling.

Quote:GBPVR looks fine.
Thats funny - we usually hear the opposite comment. GBPVR.exe always rendered for a low 720x480 resolution, which could lead in some really ugly results when it was stretched to fill the users screen (fuzzy or soft edges, or blocky edges)

Both (fullscreen/windowed).

Actually I wouldn't say GBPVR was perfect but it looked a lot better thn PVRX2.

Files attached,

thanks - lindsay

edit : Sorry - didn't realise the attachments would display inline

Sub, unless you want to track this down yourself, don't worry about it - my PC with the nvida card looks perfect.

However if you want info anyway, can help out with whatever is needed.

Thanks, Lindsay

Can you start the app then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files?

Done - attached.

Could it be an issue of me missing fonts? not that I should be - Std XP Pro SP2 etc.

Just to reiterate - don't bother following up on this issue if its just to fix my problem - its only a test pc anyway. But I assume you want to know why ...

Thanks - Lindsay

Do you have dual monitors, with one of then running at 720x576? It looks like its running at this resolution.

Nope, but double checked the adapter settings - definitely nothing set up.

Its onboard video - SiS 661FX, not capable of dual monitor display.
