A180 no sound

I've spent the week trying different settings and searching the forums for a solution to this problem. I get no sound on ATSC channels in GBPVR using the Avermedia A180. It's like it's on mute but only for GBPVR. If I use the WinXP avermedia tv app it works fine. If I use Media Center it works fine. No joy in GBPVR. I did see a reference to a registry setting last volume but it's not there in my registry. I know there are others out there using this card with GBPVR - any ideas. Here's my setup:

MSI Nvidia Geforce 6150 motherboard (can't remember the model #)
Opteron 165 X2 (not overclocked yet)
2x512 Corsair DDR400 ValueRam
Onboard video (works great!)
Onboard sound
Nvidia PureVideo decoder
Window XP MCE

Maybe try installing AC3Filter. It might help.

Forgot to mention that I already installed AC3filter. Didn't help. No sound.
