Sound but no picture, Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200

Hi,
I’m trying to set up a new PVR system. During the “Map digital channels to EPG channels” process, many channels are located, however I get sound, no picture. Thus live TV doesn’t work.

It sounds like you do not have the right codec set up or installed, being that i am not sure what type Austrailian tv is, ie mpeg2 or h.264 i can not tell you what you need.

Also you are better off getting more responses if you post under support and make sure you zip and attached your logs in devnz\gbpvr\logs folder when you post, that way we can see whats going on

You may be right, it could be a software problem. I’ll post in support with more details, thanks.

BTW, Australian digital, free to air, television uses the European DVB-T standard (MPEG2). There are channels in both standard definition and high definition in all capital cities.

do a recording then play it back in something like vlc player or media player classic
(get recordings working first then live live tv its easier to trouble shoot)
if you get a picture in vlc player then its your decoders you need to sort
