No live video

I just ran across gbpvr and so far am having some fun with it. I got it setup and i can record and it does a nice job of that. however i am having no luck at all at displaying live video. i get the following error
"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I've played with nearly every setting in the config i can think of, and i am getting an error in there when i specify few settings that error is

"WARNING: The microsoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer does not seem to be available on your machine. The 'Encoder pass-though' deinterlacing which is currently selected will not function without it"

if additional information is needed please let me know what info you need and i'll try and get it.

i figured it out finally after even more reading, i needed to reregister the demux filters by the following command

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax
