PowerDVD 5.0 vs 6.0

I just uninstalled 5.0 and installed 6.0 and I have a few questions:

1) Are the MPEG-2 decoders that come with each version of PowerDVD different? If no, the next 2 questions don't apply.

2) Are there any significant improvements for 6.0's MPEG decoder?

3) How do I know which decoder I'm using? When I uninstalled PowerDVD 5.0, it seemed like the MPEG decoder was not uninstalled, I could be wrong.

It wont tell you version of the decoder being used, but you can look in gbpvr.exe-native.log to see a list of the decoders and filters being used for playback in GB-PVR.

Just FYI, I was having a lot of playback related problems with GBPVR right after installing PowerDVD 6. When I reverted back to PowerDVD 5, the problems went away. Not sure why, but that's what happened. Could be something else specific to my system adding to those problems, but reverting back to 5 fixed it.
