People using Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 for video decoding please read....

Sounds like third party access to the Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 video decoder has been disabled in the latest update.

So any Freeview|HD (NZ) people using it may need caution if it tries to update.

Yes I noticed, although my PowerDVD 7 became default anyway. Since a clean install I stopped updates @ version 4407 and all seems good. My latest Blurays play still with PowerDVD 7.

This has happened with 7 too.

If you can get back to a version when it worked, you can simply take a copy of the folder with the filters in it (I'm at work just now and can't check its name/path) and then just register them manually.

That way you can have the older decoders for third party apps, with the newer ones being available for PowerDVD itself.
