No, that was a theory once, but after a quick survey it was found to affect both PAL and NTSC. This problem only occurs with PVR150/500 in combination with some motherboard chipsets.

Interesting, I was thinking of upgrading the motherboard and chip soon. Going to a AMD Athlon 3k as opposed to a 2.4 Pentium 4, hopefully that will fix the problem too Smile

Speed not really the issue with the current motherbaord, just the amount of pci slots is not enough.

The drivers and registry settings discussed at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006 fix the problem.

Hmmm,
I just reloaded my system and discovered that I'm having problems with the recording length being reported incorrectly. The entire show is there, but a one hour show is being reported as 12sec for example. It plays just fine, but can't skip forward. When I try, the playback stops and I end up back at the GBPVR menu.

Hey, I just went to grab my driver version and discovered that the drivers installed are version 1.18.21.22266, but the card is listed as a Hauppuage WinTV PVR PCI II (Encoder/Decoder) instead of the PVR-350 which I have. When I downloaded the drivers from Hauppauge's site, the download screen takes you through selecting your card from the list, but then downloads a file called pvr150250350_inf.zip, which when you install it automatically determines which card you have.

Has anyone else tried this latest driver, and are they having any problems with it? I don't think that I have the older driver that I used to use before my drive crashed.

Thanks,
Kevin

I think I see newer drivers here:

http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/s...vr150.html
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.
