GBPVR supports only hardware encoding tuner cards?

Hello,
this is my first post here. i have a techcom tv tuner card having philips 73xxxx chipset. i wanted to know if GBPVR supports it. it does not have hardware encoding capability.

you maybe able to use the software encoder plugin (sticky topic in h/w forum), but natively gbpvr only supports h/w cards (s/w are rubbish).
