First I want to say WOW.  I am very impressed with what 1 man has been able to do in 6 weeks.

Here are my bug reports for today [Image: smile.gif]

Installation:  This went very smoothly.  No problems installing at all.

Configuring:

1. Once I add a capture source, I can not delete it.  If I remove it, it appears to be gone, but when I click OK to close/save the configure utility and then restart the configure program my source that I deleted is there again.

GB-PVR:

1. The PVR can not schedule or record shows that have some special characters.  I went to record "That '70s show" and it refused.  I'm guessing it is because to the ' character in the title.

2.  When going to the video part of GV-PVR and trying to play a video I get some errors.  First a box pops up that says "Class not registered" then I get a big error:
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]
Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwmd=0x24020a wparam=0x0 lparam=0x68006e result=0x0 : Object reference no set to an instance of an object.  :  at DirectShowHelper.playfile(DirectShowHelper* , Uint16* filename, HWND__* ownerHwnd)
at NativeUtilities.MediaHelper.playVideoFile(String filename, Form form)
at h.a(String A_0. String A_1)
at c.a(qA_0)
at av.b(Point a_0)
at b.f(Object A_0,EventArgs A_1)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
at System.Windows.Forms.ControlWndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.WndProc(Message& m)
at b.a(Message& A_0)

Probably a few typos in there... I can email you a screenshot of the error if you need it.  I do have DirectX9, though my video card does not support VMR.  I get the feeling that that may be the problem here?

I have not had time to test out the mame plugin.  I do not have mame installed, but plan on installing it sometime this weekend to test with GB-PVR.

I also have not tried to add an programs for GB-PVR to launch.  I'll play with that a little tomorrow.

Suggestions:

1. Please allow us to attach screen shots of long error messages to our posts [Image: smile.gif]

2. Maybe a main menu or back button on the EPG?  I know the esc button returns you back to the main menu but I am ignorant enough that I did not realize that until I closed/restarted the program 3-4 times to get out of the EPG.

3. If I cancel a recording that is in progress, it would be great if GB-PVR stopped WinTVCap for me.  Currently, if I cancel the recording I still have to manually exit WinTVcap.  I'm not sure if it is possible or not.

Overall, this is really nice beta release.  Great job!

This seems like lots of problems, but is pretty much what I expected with my initial releases. Keep it coming...

Yes, I'd noticed you can remove a capture source. I'll fix this for the next release.

I'll look into that '70 show's record problem. I hadn't noticed this.

I'm not sure if I can configure ikonboard to allow attachments. In the meantime, feel free to send me any screenshots via email.

I've been looking for a spot on the EPG to put a main menu button. At the moment you can get back to the front page using the Escape or Home buttons.

In the next release, I'll make cancel also stop WinTVCap.

You video card doesn't support VMR - ####! I'll have to think about this.

Hey bud,

My card not supporting VMR is not your problem! If you think that is what causing my error in the video library, I'll have to do without. It does support video overlay though.

It does not seem like allot of bugs at all. I understand the beta process and I will continue to report anything that I find. You have done an excellent job and this release is very useful even in it's beta stage.

Thanks for letting me be a part of this, keep up the good work [Image: smile.gif]

Good luck!

Corey
