Plugin Devs: A request for 97.7+/2.0 versions

When putting up the new versions, it may be worth mentioning if it only works w/ 97.7+, or if it works w/ prior releases, too.

I still use 96.08 (for the moment...waiting on a cpl of plugins), I know I have run into a cpl of plugin updates that didn't say one way or the other and caused problems.

I'm not posting this a complaint. I had backed up before trying, knowing this may be the case. I think there may be some folks who don't and run into trouble. At the very least, it will save from having to answer this question in a post.

Would it be possible to modify the naming convention of plugins? Eg. prefix the plugin version with the gbpvr version 97.7.1.0. I now some open source apps are setup this way and it helps simplify things.

It would also be nice if, when putting a 97.7 version up on the wiki, the developer would leave the old version (marked as being pre 97.7 .Net 1.1 compliant) available there as well so that, during this transitional period, folks who are holding off from upgrading, for whatever reason, can still use the old version of the plugin/utility.
