New Videos Library Plugin

Videos Library is intended to be a drop-in replacement for the default video plugin. It includes several enhancements, requires no configuration, and is open source.

Features
*Watched files will appear with a distinct font. A file is considered in progress after it is 10 seconds in, and finished when it is 10 seconds from the end.

*Remembers the on-screen location of selected items when backing out of directories, sorting, deleting, refreshing, etc.

*Sort button toggles between AlphaNumeric, DateCreated, and Shuffle.

*Refreshes entries when a file system change is detected.

*The delete popup shows which file is selected.

*Faster thumbnails.

I get an exception when I try to use the plugin.
It is looking for Linkbridge.dll in the gbpvr folder and not in the gbpvr\plugins\videos library where it is now.

After I copied the dll to the gbpvr folder, it works.

I noted that the Main Menu button does not work.
Do I have to add settings in config.xml to make that one work?

The key feature I like most is that viewed shows have different color. Is this info from gbpvr database? Some viewed shows is colored others not. Is this depending on if they is watched to the end or not?

The icon for the "back button" ([..]) uses the first folder.jpg that is found. I would guess it should use one in the _CoreImages folder ( folder-up.jpg)

A wish for enhancement. Is it possible to use two list views? I like icon view when there is no files in the folder but list view when files is present.

I'll upload a new version today or tomorrow updated with those fixes/features.

The watched info comes from the existing GBPVR database. I'm waiting for sub to make a modification; until then, you have to stop a movie before it ends in order for it to be recognized as finished.

Version 1.51 uploaded. Setting "HybridViewInVideoLibrary" to true in config.xml will allow the view to switch between icon and list view depending on the folder/file count.

I did not miss much features in the original plugin. But those thing is in place in this one. So thanks!

Another enhancement wish. It is possible to suppress all menu buttons - except the Delete button. Why not add that as well.

By the way, I do think you should post the news about this plugin in the Community announcement area as well. It is easy to miss in this section.

That's an issue of clarity on my part. I originally mentioned it on the wiki then decided that it didn't belong since it comes in config.xml by default. I'll add it to the list again to avoid further confusion.

I'll guess I have to read the config file more thoroughly...
I think that the "ShowDeleteInVideoLibrary" should be mentioned in the wiki as well, but with the comment that this setting already exists in the file.

A bit confusing if there is double settings in the file.

(And... Do not forget to tell about the Hybridview setting, seem simple but is great!)

Another feature I would find really useful is to have the ability to set the sort order of the files. To be able to list the files in date order - newest first.
Either by a button, a config tag or both.
