Ok big problem with volume plugin

I wanted to be able to see the volume changes onscreen, so I installed the volume plugin found in the wiki. I followed the instructions, and I tried to restart the pvr. It encountered errors. So I decided to delete the files I added, but that made no difference. just errors now. What do I do?

what version of GBPVR are you using, and has the volume plugin been shown to work with it? GBPVR has been using .net2.0 since version .97, and a lot of the plugins are still designed to use .net1.0

I am not sure of the version number (I am at work right now) , but I downloaded it from the main webpage 2 days ago, so I assume it is the most current version of GBPVR. I looked at the notes for the volume plugin, but I can't tell if it works with net 2.0 (which I have).

I guess my big problem is that I removed everything and changed the config file back to the way it was before I tried using the plugin, but it still won't load. Does something happen when you use a plugin that isn't supported? I know I could just reinstall GBPVR, but I just got everything working really good, so I was kinda hoping there was something I could do to fix it.

Here's how the plugin went. I downloaded the file from the WIKI. Then I unzipped the 3 files to the various folders. One file went to the plugin folder, there was a skin file that went to the skin folder (I had to make a Volume folder in the skin folder and then there was a file that went in the main gbpvr folder. I altered the config files video plugins. I tried to open GBPVR and it said "GBPVR has encountered an error... Do you want to send an error report to Microsoft?" So then I looked back at the WIKI and realized that there was another thing I had to download, CommonGBPVERutilities and GBPVRUIElements. So I downloaded those and it made no difference. I then decide to delete all the files that I added and remove the entry from the config file. Then I tried to load GBPVR, but I got the same messege "GBPVR has encountered an error... Do you want to send an error report to Microsoft?"

So, based on that, any thought on how to fix this, or what went wrong?
