transcoding question

I have installed the latest gbpvr and have it transcode automatically to divx (from mpeg2, hauppauage 250). When selecting divx from the drop down menu in the processing tab the settings button is grayed out, how can I access the settings? I tried to get into divx setting from another program and set it to deinterlace source and resize to 640x480, but these setting were ignored, video came out interlaced and 720x480. Please help
