Will UBU Stream???

The local Public Radio station also has a streaming audio link to their programming on their website.

After doing my homework, it looks like the combination of UbuStream and XRecord can be used to record this stream. Am I correct?

Next part of the question -- is there an available option to schedule the stream recording?

It depends on the format of the stream. If it's a stream that VideoLan Client can play then you can probably use UbuStream in channel mode (using ExternalRecorder) to play and record the stream. If it's something VLC won't handle (Real Audio for instance) then you'll need to look for a proprietary recorder such as RM Recorder (check http://www.wmrecorder.com).
