Can anyone get this stream to play in net radio?

Im trying to get my local npr station to play. I can listen to the streams from other applications, but not GBPVR. Any idea why?

GB-PVR can only play shoutcast radio stations. This probably isnt a shoutcast station.

...but only for about 15 seconds or so before GB-PVR cuts out. It works fine with WinAmp.

It is a Shoutcast server and there is something embedded in the packets that states that it needs WinAmp to work. The latest vesion of Ethereal isn't working right on my machine so I can't do a full packet analysis to find out what WinAmp is doing that GB-PVR isn't doing to keep the stream alive.

Not directly related to the discussion so far, but if you're trying to play it on an MVP, there are certain bitrate MP3 files that the MVP cant play. This has meant the occasional low bitrate talk radio shows have not been able to be used on the MVP.

Im not using it on a MVP, just my primary system. I love the gbpvr app, but cant listen to any of the internet radio that i like on it. I guess i could do something to call winamp, in the custom apps thing...
I know, only shoutcast for compatibilty with the mvp...

I'm not sure if this exists, but for some oddball reason I remember seeing it somewhere (though it might be to get things to play in WinAmp, not vice versa) - try searching for a shoutcast wrapper or something along those lines. Basically tricks your player into playing the file right. Not sure if it was transcoding or what the heck it was.

anyone know why any of the net radio stations I try play for around 1 minute and then just stop? the info stays displayed and everything. It's a fresh install of GBPVR, everyhting else works great I just wanted to try out net radio and so far I am having no good results

I've had the same thing happen from time to time, as well as sometimes not connecting at all on some days. Going back the next day or even later that same day all seems to just fine. I've attributed it to a glitch in the radio stream as opposed to a bug in GBpvr.
