System-wide shortcuts

I want to be able to use my remote control with GBPVR, when the program is not the highlighted window.

To do this you need to set up system=wide shortcuts that will run commands even when the application is not the highlighted window (like in winamp).

This way, the remote can be programmed to these global shortcuts.

Maybe this could be made into a plugin or maybe it is already available but I havent seen it

what kind of remote are you using?

if it's a hauppauge remote, you can edit irremote.ini (in your windows directory).

inside that ini-file there is a [Default] section (with only a few entries, i guess).

add your shortcut to that section to be global.
e.g. i added
GRNPOWER={run(c:\progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}

to it, so i'm able to start (or regain focus on) gbpvr.

The solution of betlit is a good one, but not recommended if you're using another App at the same time if you want to zap through the channels.

Look at the last two postings, that looks really good and could control GB-PVR everytime, even whilest playing games on another Screen.
