sub Wrote:Maybe try editing the direct.ini file and setting the ForceStandard setting one of:

"ForceStandard=16" for PAL_B
"ForceStandard=32" for PAL_D
"ForceStandard=128" for PAL_H
"ForceStandard=256" for PAL_I
"ForceStandard=512" for PAL_M
"ForceStandard=1024" for PAL_N
"ForceStandard=4096" for SECAM_B

If you use some other format of SECAM, let me know and I'll give you more numbers to try.

GB-PVR would normally not set this, and the drivers would use the correct defaults, and this works fine for the vast majority of users, but is possible your driver isnt picking the correct default for some reason. (for example, if you were using a device bought from a PAL_I region in a PAL_B and the drivers kept defaulting to PAL_I)

NL use PAL (H). Unfortunately, none of the quoted Pal ForceStandards doesn't work (no sound). I have edit direct.ini, save the new setting and then start PVRX2. It isn't a big issue; I still use the workaround (start WinTv cq Radio or Vista Media center first). However, when I forget the workaround then I have no sound in the recordings ;-(

Sorry, I dont really know what to suggest for you. As far as I know GB-PVR is already doing everything it is supposed to, and it works just fine for the vast majority of users. I can think of only a very small number of people that have reported this problem over the years.

No problem. I buy or build a standalone HTPC with probably the FloppyDTV © tuner from Digital Everywhere in combination with GB-PVR ;-)
Thx, Wouter
