I had hoped to get a release out last weekend, but I've got a big software delivery deadline looming at my day job so I havn't had many hours in recent days.

The plan at this stage is to complete the changes that I've started for a release later this coming weekend.

Cheers
Graeme

Waiting, who's waiting? I'm not waiting [Image: wink.gif]

Hey when you get it out, you get it out, I'm pretty sure that we understand you have a real life outside of GBPVR [Image: smile.gif]

Hopefully the new version will fix some of the quirks I'm having too.

I'll be out of town for the next days, but will be back answering question as soon as I can.

A last minute recording problem has popped up, so the release will need to wait until I get back. Sorry.

It's cool. Take your time. This program has been nothing less of spectacular. After familiarizing myself with the program, I find that it works really great. I have not experienced any crashes so far. I've learned that the recording does work quite well although it takes up a lot of space on the hard drive even at the minimal settings 2.3GB for an hour program with 1500k bitrate 96 audio bit rate 44KHZ audio sample rate. I'm qute sure everyone here appriciates your great effert put into this program.

Hey sub,

There are still a few small issues in the top secret new features we've been working on Wink

With your help I'm sure we can get them worked out before the release.

just a short question from someone, who can't wait for this fantastic peace of software:

when will that release be?

by the way: i noticed a little bug on my machine (pvr250): when i start livetv, then leave it and start a recorded movie, the overlay-elements at the bottom won't be displayed. i only get a 50% white screen and behind that the movie.

p.s.: please excuse my bad english, i am from germany :-)
p.p.s.: keep it up, you do great work!

The release is pretty much ready, I'm just waiting for some feedback from a couple of people who are trying the pre-release.

What type of renderer are you using VMR7, VRM9 or Overlay?

i get this error with vmr9 and overlay. ffdshow won't work, it isn't installed. when i use vmr7 i cannot reproduce the error.

i tested it, and i get the error when i start a recorded program, exit to the main menu, reenter de recordings menu an start again a program. i either get a pale picture (like an 50% - alpha - white) with vmr9 or just the movie without any controls with overlay...

thanks for the hint!

What video card do you have? It might work checking if there are updated video drives, as this often fixes VMR problems.
