Recently our cable provider removed several channels from our lineup and assigned new networks to others. But when the EPG update occurs these changes aren't being recorded in GB-PVR. There are many channels listed which we don't get any more, and other channels like 55 are showing up under their old name (MAX) instead of their new one (MASN), and there are no programs listed for the channel in the TV Guide view. I'm using GB-PVR 1.3.11 with native Schedules Direct.

If I go into the Configure I can't delete any channels from the listing. I tried erasing and updating the EPG and while new programs are listed for the unchanged channels, I don't get any of the channel changes. Is there some way to erase all the channels and just load a new fresh channel listing into the EPG?

I believe you need to go into Config, edit each capture source and change the channels there. If they're digital channels, select "Map digital channels to EPG channels".

After that, you may need to go to the Channels tab and fiddle with your channel numbers.

That's what I did. I can't delete any of the channels in the list, and if I erase and update the EPG it doesn't change anything in the listing. I have no digital channels, just regular cable.

Any ideas on this problem? I still have incorrect channel names and lots of empty listings. The data coming down from Schedules Direct is complete and accurate, but not being updated correctly in GB-PVR during an EPG update. Help!

Here are some screenshots to illustrate the problem. The first one shows how some channels are not getting new show info. The second one shows where channels that have new names are not only not being renamed, but also are getting no show info imported. 55 and 56 were changed to MASN and MASn2 but are still listed with their old names. At this point GB-PVR is only partially functioning because I am missing lots of program information for recording.

I don't think it is possible to delete a channel that has a recording on disc for that channel.
AFAIR it needs the channel to exist in in the database as the entry for a recording only has a pointer to the channel rather than the real name. (changed in npvr ISTR).

What I have done in the past when a channel name changes is to rename it rather than try to delet the old one and create a new one.

The problem isn't the channel's name so much as the fact that you can see above, there are no programs being loaded for that channel. Isn't the EPG update supposed to load changes to channel names and program info?
