Fast Forward Live TV

Using a PVR-TV-150 and a MedaiMVP when will I be able to fast forward live tv? I've seen some comments that sub is working on it but no mention of when that might actually come about.

I dont like to commit to dates until I know for sure myself, but rest assured its reasonably high on my priority list.

Is the issue with not being able to fast forward live TV the same issue with not being able to start watching a show that is being recorded? Without having seen the code obviously it seems like it's the same technical limitation.

I know I'm new to this HTPC stuff, but how on earth can you FF LiveTV, if you can FF it it isn't live.
