i am hoping someone here has some advise or know how to fix this issue everytime i try to transcode a file the is over 1hr and 30min it the resulting avi is 1hr 27min and 53sec does anyone have any idea why it does this or how to fix it

well i have the harddisk space i havn't tryed if from the command line yet and it does find on shorter files of and itis a ntfs drive, and the mpg is complete as i was able to watch it to the end of the recording

make sense on reseting the time however the trancoded videos were playing back in windows media player rather than gb-pvr

oh i forgot the mention that it did the same thing using the commandline to transcode it

This is a known problem it has to do with ffmpeg I think. Search the forum for 1hr 27mins or something similar.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,

I believe the thread of which HtV speaks ishttp://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=11215 (I have it bookmarked) -- the summary being that ffmpeg appears to enjoy marking all files as 1h 27m long, although the actual file size is appropriate.

Some suggest changing to a smaller bitrate, which may or may not suit your purposes.
