Status of MVPs available via tray icon

It would be great to know whether "any" MVPs are streaming video from the computer, not just whether it is recording.

Scenario is when you need to reboot computer... Look at tray icon - its shows recording service sleeping so seems safe to reboot ... BUT users may be viewing recorded material. (I've kicked them off many times!)

Only way I know to find out, is to look at the task manager to see if "bytes read" is going up for and GBPVR.EXE tasks. It would be great to have this info on right-click, show status from the tray icon.

Is there any status interface for a gbpvr instance? I'd write the software I knew how to get the status...

Its not something I intend to add to the main GB-PVR, but I'm fairly sure that there is a plugin available that already does this.

You can use the MVP Tray icon utility. You can configure it for each MVP and it tells you what movies and songs currently plays on the MVP.

I don't know what version I am using, but it works for me with the latest GBPVR release.

Mine (1.0.5) works beautifully with the latest 97.13. It's a really nice utility if all you want is a simple indicator. [EDIT] I HAD THOUGHT that a more feature rich alternative for the MVP Tray Icon was MrSlimm's util SlimmGBPVR, however it appears this is not the case, sorry to mislead you!!

Perhaps we can try and help you get it to work? I initially had a problem, but it was just (my) bad syntax in the config.
