My problem is there is no sound in live TV after I reboot the PC. The sound works for everything else other than live TV.

I can get the sound to work by running Hauppauge's WinTV software, and closing it as soon as I hear some sound. It's as if the WinTV program is initialising the sound and then GBPVR can use it.

I thought I saw a similar thread some time ago but I can;t find it now Sad

Can anybody help?
Would it be any help to post my log files?

We the occasion user with these sorts of problems. All I can suggest is trying a different version of the Hauppauge drivers for your device.

No. Its not a GB-PVR issue.

Could you rephrase that please? I'm not sure what it means.

I'll try different drivers. Thanks.

I've fixed my typos above. I'd meant to say 'We have the occasional user with these sorts of problems'. Sometimes I type too fast for my own good...

Do you have any sound at all in windows when this occurrs?

I have a problem when I reboot now that the master vol in windows is right down at zero. Trying to solve that.

Thanks

Right. I did a clean install of XP. I got the latest Hauppauge drivers. Still no sound until I execute the WinTV program. After that everything is fine. I've tried everything I can think of. I've tried all the combinations of audio settings in config. Still no sound Sad

I'm wondering does anyone else here have a Hauppauge PVR USB 2 and are you experiencing the same problems????????

Count me in, I'm afraid.

And I have the 150MCE version running the latest SHS' Lite CD 2.0.43.24108 drivers & apps. A real pain. I will post over at his site when I get the opportunity.
