Hi,

i've using GBPVR with a PVR 250 from Hauppauge

I start GBPVR with the -livetv command line switch.

After starting GBPVR with this switch. I have to wait 45 seconds on average to see the livetv screen

A little bit long i guess......

WinTV2000 does the same in 8 seconds. So my PC could not be the problem.....

I just tried it a few times. It consistantly takes 4 seconds before its showing the live TV picture on my machine. If you add a external IR channel changer it adds about a second and a half.

If you can, try a different MPEG2 decoder. Some of them want a lot video data before they will start playback.

Some other have also reported a problem with LiveTV produce 70GB file each time it starts, which could explain a huge delay like this. When you start -livetv, take a look at the file and see if it is growing normally.
