Which remote to run system?

I'm in need of a remote for my system and was taking recomendations. My 500 hauppauge didn't come with a remote nor do I have MCE. What USB remotes would be good to run everything? Any thoughts? Thanks

Hauppauge will sell you an "MCE Remote Kit" for US$39 + postage if you call the sales department at 1-800-443-6284. No idea if this applies outside North America; try your country's Hauppauge office.

I just ordered one of these kits for my WinTV-PVR 500 OEM white box card. I really need the IR blaster but figured the remote might be fun to play with.

The reason I chose the Hauppauge MCE kit is because all the PVR projects have support for MCE remotes, this kit seems very reasonably priced for what you get (remote control, IR receiver, IR transmitter).

BTW, you don't need to run XP MCE to use an MCE remote. I'm running XP Pro + SP2.

Hey, I just talked to the Hauppauge sales people and the MCE Remote Kit goes by part # 01069. I ended up paying $10 UPS ground shipping but that includes a couple bucks extra for the wireless Media MVP I also ordered.
