Hi, I've been running nextpvr on a dell XPS 8500 with a 3rd gen i7 running windows 10. it's been working fine for years now. I have 2 HVR-2250 cards that are PCI-e x1 and should theoretically work in a newer system. That's the part I've been struggling with. I just purchased a dell Inspiron with a i5 8th gen CPU off ebay. It has 32gb of ddr4, 2 PCI-e x1 slots and a PCI-e x16 slot. Now, I just installed Windows 11 adn got nextpvr up and running. I installed the tuners and then went to install the drivers. it detected noting. I went into device manager, checked for the cards, nothing. Weird right? That's not all though, I went into the UEFI Bios and checked for the devices in the bios. it says they were empty. to confirm that there was not something wrong with the pci-e slots I plugged in a nvidia quatro p400 gpu that I had from the old machine. that was detected fine. I tried a pci-e to sata controller that uses pci-e x1 and that was detected fine. WHY in the world are the tuners not detected??? I've been searching the internet for clues as to if there is some incompatibly with these cards on newer machines, but I have found no solid evidence. IS there a firmware update? from what i could tell no. Again, I ask
Has anyone gotten these cards working with a modern day system? If yes, please let me know how?
