So, I'm going to switch to .98, just put .Net 2.0 on.

I have the PVR-350, do I still need to add in the extra files that were posted back in June? or so ( a while ago anyway) for the 350 or are they included in the .98 release now?

And, tips on installing such that I can roll back if need be are welcome.

thanks!

If you want to update from 96.xx or older(not a fresh install), you have to update to 97.13 first before you can update to 98.08.
Wrt 350, I think no extra files needed but you might want to start praying for it to work (ie: if you want to use the 350 tv-out).Wink

Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

hmm.. I didn't grab it back then. OK, searching just found the 97.13 for upgrade only; thanks! I'm glad I asked, I might not have seen that other post, even though it was recent.

RE: the 350, it's still listed as working everywhere I've found, and I read the 98.8 thread and didn't see new news. It worked (per postsSmile with 97.13 with the 2 added files (not sure to call a patch or not).

I'm using the VGA out on my video card and the overlay looks fantastic with the new display. I'm not sure if I will use the coax on the 350 anytime soon, but. .. why remove an option if I don't need to ! Smile

thanks for the reply-

It's the tv-out of the pvr-350 people are having trouble with, if you don't use it it's a pvr-250 (almost). Sub doesn't support the 350 (tv-out) anymore since ~18 months, so if it works for you you're a lucky man.Smile

Seriously, the 350 has been a gem here, the video out has worked great for many months, card stable, I am using it with the ASUS K8N-E DELUXE, nothing special, with nVidia nForce3 chipset. No issues other than user error figuring things out on the fly.

Nice to have the overlay working though now that I'm using VGA out from my GForce card. No regrets re: the 350 at all here at least. I'm thinking of getting a second as I like the hardware encode and decode.

I have the original webstreamer plugin for 96.x working on my Mac, too. Must be good karma.
