I just rebuilt my system. Previously I was running 96.12 installed on a system drive which was F: ( not C: ). No problems. Reasons for rebuild had nothing to do with GB-PVR and it actually pained me to have pertubate a system which was running so smoothly and performing so well for the family.

I reformatted the new system hard drive, system partitions is now C: which I'm attempting to limit to Windows XP Home and drivers. I have software installed on a P: partition, (same HD as C:, and two other partitions for user files on the same HD).

I decided to jump to 98.8b at this time. I exported recording and performed a clean install, not an upgrade, imported recordings afer install. I've installed everything on the P: partition. I've downloaded from the Wiki and run the installer for XRecord. Updated pluggin in Config (selected Movies on my media drive M: ). When selecting XRecord from the user interface I get the error message in the attachment. I have no problems when using XGuide and XSearch.

Any sugguestions for resolving the error message?

Not sure if xrecord has been tested/upgraded to work with 98.8b - The wiki only reports testing with 97.7
