Thanks for the response. I don't think I was clear about the remote desktop sharing: I can sit at the client and watch video playing on the server using remote desktop, not vice versa (well, I haven't tried).

I had set the files to convert to WMV - that's what I meant. Sorry. As it turns out, the recording failed using Cyberlink so I've gone back to system default and file sharing for now.

I'm still having the problem where GBPVR just won't start (the config utiltiy will), so here are all the logs - enjoy!

I suspect if you're using WMV you may also have to be using the File Sharing option.

AVI and MPG files are fine via the Streaming option.
