First post so big thanks for the awesome prduct you have here!
Have tried a few different front ends and thing GB-PVR is the most user friendly...

Only thing is Im having problems mapping the correct channels. I live in Auck, NZ, and recieve only free to air analogue channels. I have used xmltvnz wich works great and loads all the channels into GBPVR.

However from channel 4 on the frequency remains unchanged (within live TV)even though I have mapped to a different channel in config....if you get what I mean. I had a complete frequency table written down (2 hours work!) for NZ but have lost it. I DO have these ones though...
TV1 Ch 2 TV2 Ch4, TV3 Ch 7, C4 Ch 9, Juice 57, Alt 62, triangle 41.

1. can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong or how to fix this isssue? I am aware of a prob with XP specific to NZ something to do with a channel or frequency table but cant find the info again... could this be the problem?

2. Can anyone give me the rest of the frequencies/channels for auck or at least point in the right direction? need prime and maori TV cannel numbers.

Ive spent 1300 bucks or so on my HTPC so far and have been incredibly frustrated at every step. Took 3 days to figure out it was a dodgy copy of XP preventing me loading SATA/Raid drivers, cant get the MCE keyboard working properly, MCE itself not working well, and other front ends all seem terminal Im about to throw the whole damn thing out the window!!!

Anyway soz for the rant need to vent somewhere ppl here just dont understand =).

Cheers,
Matt

Its pretty easy to fix.

Run the Tuning Assistant. Select your card type, set the country to New Zealand, set the tuning type to cable, then let it start scanning. Each time it finds a channel, watch it until you know what that channel is, then note down its channel name and number (pen/paper or text file or something). You'll find the channel numbers are in odd places, but they should all be there.

When its finished scanning, edit your capture source settings and set it to also use the cable tuning. Next to each channel number, enter the channel number as identified by the tuning assistant.

The 'cable' tuning type does pretty much the same thing as the 'antenna' option, but scans a much wider set of frequencies, including all those used in New Zealand.

If you know the official channel numbers then you can apply this registry patch to fix the "antenna" tuning type, then input the official channel numbers in GBPVR config.
