Is it possible to have GBpvr to play these?

Also, I read somewhere that the newest version of Gbpvr doesnt work with game emulators? is this true?

Thanks guys,

Yes, it'll play these.

I dont really know what you asking here. GB-PVR has nothing to do with game emulators. They're two entirely separate things.

I think you'd be better asking about game emulators at the forums here: http://www.reven.co.nz

Reven produces a plugin called "myPrograms" which is for running game emulators from the PVR frontend. (I think there is a new beta for .Net 2.0)

Thanks

Ok, im finally gettin around to troubleshooting this problem. Do i need a certain plugin or is there a setting to play Divx, Avi, and VCDs files?
I get the
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object error
when i try to play them

Also, when i try to play a retail DVD under my DVD button a black screen comes up and then moments later an exit button exits. No movie plays. How does GBPVR start up the dvds?

certainly for divx you'll need to install the appropriate codec (google for it - it's free) - don't forget avi's can be encoded with divx, so this could be the issue. Also google and download 'gspot' (free also). This is a brilliant utillity that will tell you what codecs a particular media file needs, and whether thay are installed on your system. If you find your object error is not actually be related to this - check the wiki faq as this has a couple of common reasons. Failing that post your logs so sub can take a look (zip up *.log from the gbpvr directory).

Also try playing your files (and DVDs) in media player - if they don't work it's a system or codec issue, if they do work then its something gbpvr specific (post those logs...)

On the subject of emulators download the latest my programs plugin from revens site - it's working brilliantly with MAME for me at the moment... Smile

Ok, so as long as i have the codecs installed, there shouldn't be a problem? There's no settings to change? The Divix and mpeg files play fine in WMP becasue i use to use media player to watch my movies. I'll keep picking around. thanks
I'll try playing the DVD in WMP. That I havent done yet.
I'll have to look.

If WMP handles all the files correctly then it could be GBPVE specific. Are you using any plugins or any skin other than the default blue? These can often be causes of object errors.....

Well, the videos didn't work with some plugins and they also didn't work without any plugins. I'll try what you have suggested when i get home from work.
