I have a Haupauge 150 mce, Compaq d51s . I am currently using digital cable with a firefly remote, serial cable attached to digital cable and using mot to change the channels. In my setup I am using the composite cable external setup for my tv setup. What I am wanting to do if it is possible is use the internal tuner for all basic cable channels ie: 1-70 and for the digital cable channels use the composite external tuner. I am thinking I would need 2 separate setups. Any ideas how I would go about doing this.

Lots of people do exactly this. Setup two capture sources for the same card, and make sure that only the available channels are enabled for each source (ie, the internal tuner capture source would only have 1-70 enabled, the has all enabled).

If you'd prefer this internal tuner to be used as your preference for recording, then set its capture source up first, and the external tuner capture source second.

I am assuming then that the internal tuner would handle changing channels 1 - 70 but the digital box would have to change the channel for channels greater than 70 and this would also effect what is displayed on the TV.

How do you setup the zap2it? Do you have it enabled for both the basic cable and digital cable tuner setups or do you just have it one one of them.

You can either use the same zap2it account, and disable channels selectively depending when setting up each capture source, or you can use two zap2it accounts, each with a different lineup.
