What is the minimum ATI PCI-E with hardware acceleration?

As far as I'm aware:

All ATI & Nvidia PCI-E cards support MPEG2 hardware acceleration (DXVA) and hardware de-interlacing (enabled via DXVA+VMR7/9)

H.264/AVC is a different story. ATI X1000 series supports H.264 hardware acceleration and hardware de-interlacing, but Nvidia support is patchy so take carefull notice of the Purevideo feature-set table on the Nvidia website.

It would be worthwhile checking these facts for yourself.
