To go to v5 I will need to replace my PopcornHour (PCH) with a new client.

I was looking at this one that Martin V. recommended:
https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/odroid-n...c-edition/

Then, I had these points I earned at work that I can use to get certain merchandise for free.  I was trying to compare these two to the one above:
https://www.electronicexpress.com/catalo.../QFX-ABX12
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supersonic-SC15...2292230264

My goal is knewc on Kodi to make it look like the Windows client or the PCH to reduce the amount of explaining I need to do for the rest of the family.  Accessing other things like Amazon Prime Video would be a plus.

Any recommendations?

Once the new SiliconDust Prime 6 comes out, I can replace my Ceton.
Tuners: SD HDHR Prime (HDHR3-CC). SD HDHR Connect Quatro Tuner (HDHR5-4US) - only QAM.  EXVIST H.265 Encoder - capturing cable box.
Client: Odroid-N2 running knewc on KODI - connected via MoCA.
EPG: SchedulesDirect
Provider: Verizon Fios
Server: Dell XPS 8700 with Windows 10

The best read for Kodi support is https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=252916 Any good box should run knewc although as that linked thread you will always find LibreElec or CoreElec perform better then Android on the same box.

For any of the cheaper brands

- check the support for Android versions upgrades some run old versions like 6 or 7.
- check to see if they support LE or CE if you ever ditch Android
- check for Widevide L1 support and even then some services like Netflix and Disney+ could be issues.
- check to see if you can configure an IR to use the Microsoft MCE/Hauppauge or NMT remote.
- the Cadillac Android device is the NVidea Shield and a new version is coming out.

If you want to get your feet wet with a Kodi, Android and Premium service the Amazon 4k Fire TV are often on sale for $35 or even less.

The N2 is a pretty good box (except for premium services) and and if you decide to get it consider https://ameridroid.com/ There is a coupon code here https://www.cnx-software.com/coupon-codes-promos/ to

Martin
