WHAT WORKS:
-recording television shows using the TVGuide (entire program)
-can playback record television shows
-quality of the video and audio of recorded shows is superb

WHAT DOESN'T WORK:
-can't watch live tv: "Error: An invalid argument was supplied"
-manual recording: "Error: Failed to communicate with the recording service"
-can't manual stop TVGuide recordings: "Error: Failed to communicate with the recording service"

PLAYBACK
DEVICE: Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB 2
VIDEO DECORDERS: Intervideo video decoder
AUDIO DECORDERS: Intervideo audio decoder
AUDIO RENDERER: Conexant AMC Audio
VMR9

CAPTURE SOURCE
I have used both the Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2 & PVR USB2 Capture Cards
EPG Source is Zap2it
all cable channels are configured

CPU
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3500+
current speed 2190 MHz
cache size 512 KB
free hard drive space 50GB

We'll need more info. You forgot a bunch of the log files, especially the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log. Try reproducing the error and zip and attach all of your log files.

Do you have any plugins installed?

As stefan said, you'd need to supply a complete set of logs.

The first thing I suggest is updating to the latest Hauppauge drivers. You'll find when you do this you'll need to also need ot change the card type from 'PVR USB2' to 'PVR2 USB2'.
