after much titting about i think i'm now VERY close to getting the client to work
-
I've tried reregistering all the filters, i've got the same mux registered on the client and server (not sure if this is really important or not), an mpeg decoder installed correctly (intervid on the server and stinky on the client), I'm using a 400Meg firewire straight between the client and PC, I'm using file sharing because streaming just seems to lock up the client and I've tried overlay and all the vmrs , but I'm still just getting a black screen on live tv (only on vmr9custom - all the other options just stall at the 'live preview starting' message). The sound is coming through OK, recorded shows and video playback fine, and I can see the recording service go green and the hdds chug away on the server.
any ideas?
