Guru advice needed :)

Ok guys, Need some advice here. I currently have two PC's running GBPVR. One has a PVR-250, the other a PVR150 (non-mce). I am thinking about adding a PVR-500 to the pc that currently has the 150. I am pretty sure that I can only get the 500 in MCE version. I know I wouldn't HAVE to go to Windows XP MCE but would that be better than staying on XP Pro? What would be the benefits and drawbacks, if any, of moving to MCE? What about remote issues with a non-MCE 150 and an MCE 500 in the same box? I don't have a STB, just straight cable but I am sure sooner or later the cable co will make all of us go to digital cable so I want to make sure whatever way I go that I am not setting myself up for problems down the road. my non MCE 150 works fine in XP MCE, I even use the hauppauge remote, however it should not matter what version of windows you have for the MCE cards, as long as your 150 works the 500 should work, the only thing the MCE cards dont have is a mpeg2 decoder included with the software.
