So i just got myself a new hauppauge 2250 for my new computer. WinTV can display the channels. I pulled the listings which is a 4 meg file with show info. I mapped the channels in config.

I believe I have the mux's setup correctly. The channels are enabled.

In the attached logs I see that it sees the shows.
2009-10-07 21:52:53.901 VERBOSE [4] - channel 26.1 WVENDT : 261 shows
2009-10-07 21:52:53.901 VERBOSE [4] - channel 27.2 WRDQDT2 : 334 shows

However when I click on tv guide it does not enter the guide. When I click search it is blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

You didn't map any channels to the guide yet.

Quote:2009-10-07 21:53:46.362 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been setup

After setting up the capture source, you need to click the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" button. Let config perform the scan and then map the channels found in the scan to the channels in your EPG.

See the ATSC/QAM setup guide posted at http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=43361 for a walkthrough.

That is the walk through that I tried to follow. I think I have my channels mapped unless i am missing something. See attachments.

yeah, they are definitely mapped. Can you search your hard drive for additional copies of gbpvr.db3 and config.xml?

I found another copy in
C:\Users\jdubin\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR

I am guessing that is a vista thing. Might be a useful step in the walkthrough.

I have renamed those and the tv guide works I can see listings. The search window is still blank which is odd because it should be using the same listings. That is not a big deal, since I will use xsearch.

When I click live tv to see if I can't see the show it is just blank.

When I mapped the scanned the digital channels the preview window was always black. However wintv can show the channels just fine.

attached are new logs. Thanks for you help.

Some sequence of event can lead to Vista/Win7 using a virtual store copy, which the recording server does not see (so is not aware of your channel mappings). Try deleting C:\Users\jdubin\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR and it should start working.

I deleted that directory and I think the channel mappings are working however I am still getting the black screen instead of seeing the channel in live tv. See my attached logs in the previous post.

I have run re-registerfilters.bat no errors. I am thinking I am missing a mux or decoder?

It looks like you've got your decoders set to 'system default'. Have you tried other decoder options?

If you try recording, do you get a non-zero byte file?
