Hello All,
Please can anyone help with this problem. I'm using gbpvr with an mce remote. I've been through the laborious process of mapping all the keys through HIP and the remote works perfectly within gbpvr.

But I can't get HIP to change the channel on my STB, it seems to learn from the telewest remote but when testing it doesn't change the channel. I completed the mapping and tried within gbpvr livetv but, of course, no joy there either. I can see the IR blaster blipping away but no reaction from the STB. I know I've got the bug in the right place as I used to use MCE2005 (until a tv error screwed my hdd hence the search for an alternative).

I really like GBPVR and all it's plugins/skins etc and it seems to be a great community too. I'm soooo close but without the pvr function I'm going to have to go back into the M$ fold.

I'm hoping it's just a secondary command or something similar that needs adding. BTW I'm in the uk in case that makes a difference.

This doesnt really sound like a GB-PVR problem, but more of a HIP issue. Sorry, I know that doesnt really help - just stating my disclaimer for not providing a fix.

Hi Mol,

tweaking HIP to get it working with a partcular STB can be a laborous process but as MCE works with your STB I cant see any reason HIP wouldnt either. It may just take some playing around.

When you say you are testing it, what are you doing and what do you see happening? if you teach and send the mute command from HIP does your STB mute?

Hi Sub, I realise this is not strictly a gbpvr issue, nice work btw.

'Lo Ricklous, by testing I mean the function within Hip to test your mappings. When I test a key (0-9 mapped) I can see the blaster blipping but no change on the STB. I'm thinking there must be a control code I'm missing but there's where I grind to a halt. Why, what, how is what I'm needing help on.

When I press mute, the pc mutes not the STB.
