This is what I intended it to do. Ideally I wanted to have the two separated, but it wasnt going to be straight forward so I decided I'll do that in a later release.

I actually like the full OSD coming up when I press the volume button as I have the MCE Remote v2a that doesn't have the color buttons, so i can't press the Blue button to get the OSD without pulling out the keyboard which is a pain. Personally I hope this stays (the always losing battle of trying to please everyone huh Sub)

I wouldn't mind it either, but in my country it is usual to have subtitles instead of synchronizing voices in movies and OSD goes over them.

Croatia huh? My wife is from there. Sibenik area. We plan to make a visit there nex year, most likely just after summer (when plane tickets are much much much cheaper).

Well i guess a compromise would be to make it configurable as to whether it displays the full OSD (assuming Sub would go along with that one)

I was having a similar problem...if i use the left/right arrow keys on the keyboard, the volume OSD shows up (along with the channel info). however, if I use the +/- keys on the keyboard, the volume still changes, but nothing shows up on screen.

I edited irremote.ini so that volume changes with {left}/{right} instead of +/-, and that fixed the problem. OSD shows up now and everything looks great.
although I guess this means that now I can't change the volume while the mini channel guide is on screen...

Something interesting happens if I increase volume using {right} and decrease the volume using '-' instead of {left}...when I increase volume, the OSD shows up, and as long as it is still visible, decreasing the volume also changes the volume bar on screen. but once the display disappears after 2 seconds or so, using the '-' button still lowers the volume but does not show the OSD. I hope that makes sense.

Nope tried master and local volume with blue skin and no joy. Could it be used volume plugin previously? Am using Hauppauge 45 key remote if that helps.

I has this on my list of things to check before the next release, but it seems to be working fine for me. Given you later reply about the keyboard working but the remote not, makes me think you've got something funny in your irremote.ini.

If you're still having this problem, zip and attach the irremote.ini and I'll take a look.

I would also like to add that I am also having an issue with the volume OSD not showing up with the Hauppauge 45 button remote. Using Blue skin and the only change I made to the irremote.ini was to have the green button start the gbpvr program.

Same problem here. 45 button remote, no volume/channel OSD when using remote.

Any progress on this? I still can't see the volume OSD when using my Hauppauge 45 button remote.

I did make a couple of minor changes for this in the next release. None of the beta testers have commented on this, so I'm working on the assumption its fixed.
