I'm failing to get about half my channels updated in the EPG, this has only just happened over the past couple of days. I'm updating via xml and the xml file does contain the data for the channels that are blank.

What's frustrating me is that I can't find any debug info in the gbpvr logs.

Which log should have data about the EPG update process?

David.

Do an update via the capture source's 'Update EPG' button, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and the xml file and I'll take a look.

Thanks, no need, that's all the nudge I needed to find the problem.

For some reason, the XML download from UK Radio times had 3 instances of a 0x0b character which was upsetting the import. Also a bad block of <programme> </programme>

Sorted for now but could you check for invalid characters and report somewhere else that would help perhaps?

Cheers

If the XML is in anyway invalid, then this will be reported to the logs. I'm not sure where else you'd have me report it.

Which log? That was my problem, I wasn't seeing anything in gbpvr.log or recording service.log. I'm sure I have seen it before in there but not today?

Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough?

Smile
