I would like it if when you paused tv after a minute or 2 the screensaver would kick in to reduce wear and tear and possible "burn in" on the screen.

I think the ScreenSaver plugin has this ability, but i'm not 100% sure...

Well anytime I pause something I'm watching (live tv, recording, video, etc.) it seems that that image stays on the screen. No screen saver kicks in. Could it be related to the skin?

Carlito is referring to a plugin. The built in screen saver certainly doesnt come on when video is paused.

That is correct, I was referring to a plugin, not the default screen saver.
