Hi, trying to set up gbpvr with the Sutton coldfield transmitter, with no success. I have a Humax freeview box on main tv and this picks up Sutton coldfield no problem. I am using the same aerial with a splitter on it.
I can get other transmitters but not all the channels are available.
I have other trial dvbviewing software on my pc which do pick up the sutton coldfield channels, will these conflict with gb-pvr.
Any ideas.
Thanks.

What type of card are you using?

Which region/transmitter did you select when you set up your capture source?

Zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

I found my 3 x Nova-T PCI (90002 model) cards all need a VERY strong signal to work. Although I have perfect reception on my normal TVs, the feeds to the Nova-Ts have to go through a booster / splitter for them to find channels. Even then depending on the weather some channels occasionally start to break up.

It will be interesting to see if sub can se something in the logs, but if you have a booster to hand try that as well.

Just select the whole of the UK before scanning. Several people have reported that the local file for their area needs editing. For some reason the frequencies listed in the complete file differ from some of those in the region.

I don't think that's the problem for Sutton Coldfield. I use that, and I double checked that all of the frequencies (and 166 offsets where necesary) were correct. They are.

I can also confirm that since changing from a Hauppauge with 90002 tuner to a newer one (The Hauppauge dual DVB-T tuner) I have experienced much less breakup, so maybe its performance is not ideal.
