Recurring recording enters 2 recordings in Manage Recordings

I want to schedule to record the Jay Leno show ONLY on Mondays, so I set up a recording for This time slot, Specific days, and pick Monday. When I go to Manage Recordings, there are 2 entries, One that says Reocurring and has Season in the Air Date. The other one has Pending and Monday, Dec. 4th in the Air Date. Is this the way it's supposed to be??

Yes, this is normally. The ones in pending will come and go as you recording/watch/delete, but the one in the reoccurring section is always present (until you cancel it).
